El Miro and Mirador de Jacó: Hike or drive to one of these scenic viewpoints overlooking Jacó Beach and the ocean. El Miro features colorful graffiti art and the ruins of an abandoned mansion, while Mirador de Jacó is an easy stop for a photo op.
Royal Butterflies: Visit this relaxing tropical garden to observe exotic butterflies in a natural setting. The site also has a walking path along a river and over 70 types of fruit trees.
Playa Fantasia Costa Rica: This company offers boat tours from Jacó Beach to a secluded white-sand beach. The tour includes water activities, lounge chairs, and a bar area.
Carara National Park: Explore this protected area known for its scarlet macaw population and diverse wildlife. It is located about 18 km from Jacó.

Restaurants and Bars: Jacó has a wide variety of dining options, from pizza to fine dining, as well as a lively bar and nightclub scene. The Croc’s Resort & Casino also offers a casino and nightclub.
New Developments: Keep an eye out for new businesses, such as the OZEANO Oceanfront Surf Bar & Rooftop, which is scheduled to open in October 2025.
